Here is some info about my graph.
The graph shows how many earthquakes were in Australia between October and November 2008 as well as the magnitude.
The graph also shows how many earthquakes were in neighbouring countries for the same period showing the magnitude.
The neighbouring countries had earthquakes that registered 5 or more on the Richter scale where as in Australia they were 4.2 or below. I think the reason for this is that neighbouring countries are closer to the fault lines, so more pressure builds up when two plates move past each other. An earthquake with a magnitude of 5 or more happens when this pressure is released.
