    hi tania good q i look on the internet since the 1900s the biggest earthquake was chile 1960 5.000 people were killed. it was a nine on the Richter scale

    Hi Tania,
    The biggest earthquake ever recorded occurred near Santiago, Chile, in 1960.It is known as the Great Chilean Earthquake and measured an impressive 9.5 on the Richter scale.
