Hi everyone!
Did you now that the hati earthquake went for 35 seconds.
My govie, Miss Mill, has been in an earthquake in Mittagong, NSW (where she lives) which happened on the 11th December 2003 that went for 3 seconds and measured 4.3 on the Richter scale which was light. She said that she had to hold on to a chair as it was hard to stand up. It was so sudden and you could hear everything rattling.
Take a look at this site that I found which tells you more about the earthquake. There is a link to see the seismogram.

No it was only slightly shaken. No one was hurt and nothing was broken - just a rumble.
ReplyDeleteGee, Tom. Miss Milly is lucky. I bet she was scared. I would be!
